Uni-E Distributors — Website Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of www.uni-e.co.za, the website of Xstreme Holdings (Pty) Ltd, trading as Uni-E Distributors (“Uni-E”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you accept these terms. They are written to comply with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA) and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

1. The website is a catalogue

The website shows our products and prices so you can compare and enquire. You cannot buy or pay for products online.

• Prices are in South African rand and include 15% VAT. The price excluding VAT is shown for information.
• A price on the website is not an offer to sell. A sale is agreed only when Uni-E confirms a written quotation or invoice, which states the final price, availability and delivery.
• Prices can change without notice, for example because of exchange rates or supplier prices. The price on your confirmed quotation applies.
• Errors: if a price or description on the website is clearly wrong, we are not bound by it. We will tell you before you commit to anything.
• Availability: a product appearing on the website does not mean it is in stock.

2. Product information

• Specifications come from the manufacturers’ datasheets. Manufacturers may change them without notice. Check the latest datasheet before designing a system.
• Range, speed and battery figures for vehicles are manufacturer estimates under test conditions. Real results depend on load, terrain, speed, temperature and battery age.
• Images are for illustration. Colours, fittings and accessories may differ.
• Solar, battery and inverter systems must be designed and installed by a qualified installer, with a Certificate of Compliance where the law requires one. Information on the website is general, not advice for your installation.

3. Apium installer registration

• Registering is free and creates no account, login, special pricing or ordering facility.
• Uni-E may accept or decline a registration at its discretion, and may end an installer’s listing.
• You must supply true and complete information and documents, and have authority to register the business.
• Being registered does not make the installer an agent or employee of Uni-E or Apium. Installers are responsible for their own work.

4. Intellectual property

The website’s design, text, photographs and graphics belong to Uni-E or are used with permission. Apium, Kandi and Rawrr names and logos belong to their owners. You may view, print and download pages and datasheets for your own use. You may not copy, republish or sell website content without our written permission.

5. Using the website

• Do not submit false information, upload harmful files or try to break into or overload the website.
• Do not use automated tools to copy the catalogue or prices.
• Links to other websites, such as Facebook or manufacturers’ sites, are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
• We aim to keep the website available, but it may be unavailable at times for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.

6. Warranties and liability

• Product warranties are set out on your quotation or invoice and in the manufacturer’s warranty terms, not on the website. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including the 6-month implied warranty of quality, are not affected.
• The website is provided as is. As far as the law allows, Uni-E is not liable for loss caused by relying on general website information, or by the website being unavailable.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability that the CPA or other law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for gross negligence.
